I found out something very shocking today, furriends. I was waiting at the door for my Mom when she returned from a shopping expedition, and when she walked in she said, "Hi, Bandit." Then my Mom started laughing and shaking her head. Bandit? Just WHO is Bandit? Well, I called Tristan to ask about this Bandit character, and do you want to know what I found out? I found out that Tristan used to have a woofie brother named Bandit. OMC! Bandit was a red miniature Dachshund, and he lived with the beans from 1992-2002. He was Tristan's big brother! This explains why there is a very special urn in our home. It also explains why Tristan isn't afraid of woofies. Bandit died in my Mom's arms on the way to the V-E-T, early one morning. His heart attacked him, so he went to The Bridge while my Dad was driving. My Mom was so crushed. The neighbors came to our home to pay their condolences, and my Mom's boss sent flowers and gave her two days off of work.
Tristan said that Bandit wasn't so bad, so I guess it's okay if my Mom accidently calls me Bandit:)

We agree, it's certainly OK for your Mom to mix up her babies, especially since she loves (loved) you all so much. Mommy gets Rupert & Dusty's names confused a lot, too.

Crikey, you don't look anything like a red miniature dachshund...maybe your mom needs glasses...or if she already has glasses, maybe she needs new ones...
We're sorry Bandit went to the Bridge so suddenly...
Aww, that was very sweet to tell us about Bandit. We are sure that your Mom and Dad still miss Bandit.

I keep nearly calling Archie 'Newton' - it's hard to stop when you've got so used to saying one name for years! Sorry to hear about Bandit even though it was a while ago, always so hard to lose such a dear friend. xx
To be called by another beloved's name...That sounds like a furry nice compliment to me :)
Awwwwww your momma was havings a memory of a special baby of hers dat happened to be a woofie huh. Dat so sweets and I happy you don't minds if she calls you dat once in a whiles.
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrs
It's clear your mom loved Bandit very much, and we KNOW she loves you and Tristan very much, too ... I guess that would explain why she called you by his name. Purrs and prayers.
We consider it an honor when mom accidentally calls us one of our guardian angels. Nigel gets called "Jonathan" all the time. Mom apologizes, but then said it's really a compliment.
Silly moms. They never get over us.
Moms do that sometimes, Crikey; our Mommy has called us Nikki and she went to the bridge in 2004 so we just think it's a Mommy thing...We're sorry to hear about Bandit going to the bridge so suddenly; Mommy says you never stop missing them...Kisses to you and Tristan!...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
So touching story about Bandit!!
But think positive
we meet each other all in heaven..
Happy sunday
hugs Kareltje =^.^=
Poor Bandit! Our mum sometimes calls Shen Rex. Rex was her doggie before Shen and she misses him a lot.
I think that it was a compliment - btw, tell your Mom that it is OK to dream about me, I am quite dreamy!
I also think it is a big compliment to be called by the name of a beloved pet!
Oh Crikey, I have to admit that sometimes I call Hero with the name of Apollo ( my beloved rottweiler before him) ..so sorry for Bandit, you should be proud of him, he was surely a good woofie.
And you're a good cat, granted :)

I thinks the beans has a speshul feeling in their hearts when they loves something very very much, and dat feeling gets a instinct-name. It sounds like you is very loved indeed!
BTW, I has never been to the beach so we thinks that your sand and ocean sounds really grate!
Dood she called you a Dawg. That can't be all good.
aw, dat is so saddies!

Bandit must have been a lovely dog for your Mom, Dad and Tristan to have liked him so much. So maybe it's not so bad your Mom called you Bandit :-) Thanks for telling the story.
Awww, my human got leaky eyes reading about Bandit! Your mom must miss him very much...
