We thank you, furriends and friends. Your support during this time is so appreciated...and needed. Tristan visited her V-E-T yesterday, and we learned that her high blood pressure is now under control (with medication) and that there is a slight improvement in her retinas. She is still blind, but we're encouraged by the words "slight improvement." Many of our bloggie friends told us that retinas can sometimes reattach, and our V-E-T said that they are correct. We're praying that this is going to happen for us. And guess what? Tristan gained 2 ounces last week! Of course, it's hard to see her at 6 pounds when she used to weigh 17, but we're encouraged. Tristan is learning quickly! We have created a safe environment for her (with a pet fence) and she has learned where her food, litter box, heated cat bed and play tent are placed. Through all of this misery, Tristan keeps purring away! She's amazing. We'll be around to visit each of our bloggie furriends this weekend. We love you so much, and are so blessed to be part of this unbelievable community.
~Crikey and Mom Angela *Angela: Crikey keeps trying to convince Tristan to use a cane, learn Braille and wear dark glasses. He'll never change.*

Huge purrs and hugs to all of you! Hope she continues to improve. We're here for you!
Oh, we're glad there is hope. We know you'll do what is best for Tristan, but for the moment it sounds as if she is happy to be home and surrounded by love.
We are so happy to read this. Even if Tristan cannot see, she may well cope very well. Äiti's poor old blind girl who is no longer with us coped amazingly well, and had the most intelligent whisker navigation ever. Make sure you keep doors in the same place (always open or always closed). We have our paws crossed that Tristan will tell you how she is doing, and you'll know what to do!
Lots of purrrs and hugs for Tristan!! We pray fro her retinas to reattach!!!
((((((((HUGGGSSSS))))) from your TX furiends,
Star just trilled, "YAAAAAAAAY!! If Crickey keeps teasing about getting a cane you should get one and smack 'em with it! Mommy has some graphics about canes here. Oh my! Good thing I looked at 'em. I gotta make mom fix some of the stuffs in the morning."
PS our aunt Susan's orange tabby who was blind learned to get around a whole two bedroom house. Just go slow and take it a room at a time with your Feeders and you'll be fine. Make sure you eat like I tell my Admiral!!

This is wonderful news! We hope that Tristan's eyes improve some more (reattachment isn't always quick) and she continues to feel better.
Tristan dear, you are a spry, senior gal, we aren't in the least bit surprised that you learned the layout of your safe place so quickly. Whilst you are learning, ask Crikey to be your Guide Cat :)
Still sending you love and rumbly purrs sweetheart!

You just made my morning!! I'm so thrilled to read about Tristan's improvement, even slight. And I know how you feel about her weight loss. Fuzzy was once quite a chunk, and now she's down to 5 pounds. But it's something I've gone through with all my senior cats. I am just so, so happy that Tristan is happy!! We're still sending purrs and hugs for you all - even that silly Crikey!

we's furry glad to read of this improvement!! we hopes that the upward trend continues; you were furry wise to delay "that decision". we knows that if love can keep her with you, she'll be there fur a long time. even if she don't get to see again, she can liff a furry fulfilled life there inna boosum of her dear fambly.

Oh, Sweet Tristan, our biggest purrs to you. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so delighted to hear that Tristan is coping well with her sight problems - we are crossing our paws that with the improvement in her blood pressure this may improve. If she remains blind as long as the furniture stays in it's usual position we think she will learn to "navigate" and of course the whiskers will become very useful antenna.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
This is encouraging news! It took our Jonathans retinas about 8 weeks to reattach, but it's amazing how well a cat can adjust to blindness. The one thing we had to remember is NEVER pick up a blind cat and set them down somewhere else in the house.
Oh I am so glad Tristan is improving a little bit. That is just wonderful. We had a blind dog one time and she did great. Animals are so amazing. We hope she continues to improve. Sending tons of purrs and prayers. We are crossing our paws too for you Tristan. Glad you are still with us. Take care.
Hi Tristan..we are so glad you are improving. Now you need to start eating more so you can put on a little weight. You are a strong kitty. We really hope you get your eyesite back too.
Lots of Love,
Jude,Poo,Babybella,Piper & Marley
Much much love for precious little Tristan. Both from me and my mommy. You and Crikey were our first visitors back when I first started and you both have always been kind. So we know you from long back.

Tristan--good kitty finding your necessities! Keep it up, honey... we're all thinking about you.
We, too, are encouraged by this news. Continued purrs and prayers for sweet Tristan!
I am glad that Tristan is improving. I hope and pray that her retinas will reattach. It's great that her high blood pressure is under control now. Emma and Herman send healing purrs.

Mommy saw, dis weekend, dat dey is making white canes fur woofies. Sereeusly, it's a harness wif a white loop dat sticks out in front of da blind woofie so dey don't bang der heads when dey is walking around. We hope dat yoor retinas retach demselfs, but if dey don't it will be okay. Da naybor lady haf a blind cat and yoo would not know she is blind if dey din't tell yoo.
I am so sorry Angie. I hope she continues to improve. Its so hard to see our babies suffer.
Just checking in again and wanted you guys to know we will keep purring and praying for lovely Tristan...Best of luck, beautiful girl...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
